Johnston Little League Welcome to the 2020 Season
As we close in on the beginning of another season at Johnston Little League, there are several announcement, reminders and key dates we want to share.
Early Bird Discount- Registration for the 2020 Regular Season opens January 1st. Those that register by January 15th can take advantage of a $10 early bird discount, and in addition will be entered in a drawing for one of 5 $50 Dicks Sporting Goods gift cards.
Divisions of Play - After realigning the Major and Minor divisions in 2019, the only changes for 2020 will be in the Junior & Senior divisions. In 2020, JLL will consolidate the Junior and Senior divisions into one Junior/Senior division. The division will play Junior division rules and schedule, but in addition to 13 & 14 year olds, 15 and 16 year olds can also register and compete. This is designed to accommodate 15 year old 8th graders and those that may want to continue to play baseball, but at a lesser level of intensity than the JHS program.
Volunteers-More than a hundred volunteers are required to make the season a success. Are you interested in volunteering to lead a team as its Manager, serve as an Assistant Coach, or help organize as a Team Parent? Indicate your interests while registering your child, or on the Volunteer Opportunities page.
Fan Gear- JLL's fan gear store is open 24/7/365, with many great options for the whole family. Orders ship direct to you in a couple weeks with a portion of all sales reinvested in JLL.
