2021 Season Update - Registration Open

Dear JLL Families,

Happy New Year and goodbye to 2020!  I know many could not wait to put 2020 behind, but today feels different.  With new hopes, dreams, and new year’s resolutions we all share a belief that 2021 will be the year we try to return to the new normal.

As companies and employees return to work, we are confident our 2021 Little League season will resume as well.  Recall, last season we adjusted our schedule and provided various safety precautions to return to play.  All the changes we made were part of our process to ensure safe play, but was certainly taxing to our board, league and parents.  However, in the end it was all worth it as I will never forget the smiles and laughs kids shared while playing a game during restless times.  It brought normalcy for many families and for others an escape.  We didn’t script last year, but it’s over and we are moving forward with our planning for 2021.

Today our registration for the 2021 Little Season is open.  As we prepare for the season, our intention is to start like normal with games beginning in April.  With that said, we will probably implement several Covid policies from last year, but those details will be shared later.  A few items to highlight:

Registration is open.  Register today for our early bird discount and a chance to win a $50 gift card.  Early bird discount ends Jan 15th.

If you are concerned about the season and its refund process, we have revised those and adopted the following policy as it relates to refunds.  You can find our Season Disruption Policy here:

If you’d like to enroll, but need financial assistance, there are programs to help with that.  Scholarships are available and those can be found here:

Tryouts.  Information will be coming in January, but please hold Saturday, March 6th.We will be arranging tryouts in some fashion/location for our 9’s, 10’s, 11’s and 12’s.

One last item to note for those that were in our Majors division last year and unfortunately not able to participate in the LL All-Star season, I’d encourage you to consider registration this year in the 50/70 league.  We received the great news over the offseason that Ankeny will be hosting the Midwest Regional for the 50/70 division.  In recent years our 50/70’s have performed well in this division, and I know there is plenty of talent to potentially advance to a Regional at home and be a step closer to a World Series berth.

We are excited to turn the page and are hopeful for a normal season.  Should it be anything but normal, we proved last year we could continue to play for the kids.  With wind in our sail, I am excited to see where this season ends up, and I’d like to officially invite you to be a part of the excitement!

Play Ball!
